Saint-Nazaire
The city of Saint-Nazaire has created several motorhome stopovers, in various parts of the town. A new parking and service point for motorhomes has just been opened (October 2015) inside the big car park near the Theatre of Saint-Nazaire.
It has 28 bays for motorhomes. Half an hour’s parking is free, beyond 30 minutes you pay a flat rate per day. The rate is 7 € a day, including electricity, for the first 4 days, and 10 € a day including electricity as from the 5th day. A visitor’s tax of 0,65 € per day and per motorhome is added to this rate. The price for water is 4 € / 10 minutes (credit card payment for services and parking).
This stopover is not far from the city centre, the harbour, the tourist sites (Escal’Atlantic, the submarine Espadon, the heritage museum Ecomusée…). A free shuttle bus, “Zenibus”, takes you to the city centre every half an hour, with a stop at the market on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday mornings.
Free stopovers for overnight parking
Port du Vivier : 3 places. Very calm, near a canal of the Brière marshes.
Bois-Joalland, route du Bois-Joalland (near the neighbourhood of L’Immaculée) : 5 places. On the banks of a lake, with nearby shopping facilities.
Saint-Marc-sur-Mer, parking des Jaunais : 15 places + service point… with the sea just across the road! The service point (water and electricity) has credit card payment; 2015 prices: 4€ for an hour of electricity, 4€ for 10 minutes of water, 7€ for both.
Disneyland - Disneyland does have its own Aires where you can park your motorhome for the day and stay overnight. It costs 30euros for the day and is free to annual pass holders. It doesn’t have any Electric Hook-up facilities, but it does have waste water disposal, chemical toilet disposal and fresh water. Shower and WC facilities are closed between 7pm-8am.
