The most northerly islands they lie some 50 miles north of the Orkney Islands. The capital is Lerwick the only significant town and also the county town.

Parking on the Esplanade and below Fort Charlotte is allowed for short-term period only and is controlled by a disk system. Parking is allowed for up to 45 minutes in marked bays on the Esplanade and for up to two hours below Fort Charlotte.
A parking disk must be displayed in the vehicle and these can be obtained from many of the shops in the vicinity. I don't know if MH can be parked.
Pay and Display parking at the pier. Car parks on old swimming pool at Upper Hill Head, Clickamin leisure complex next the loch is often empty.
Campsites at Skeld in the west, Breiwick in North Mainland. Islands of Yell and Unstable both have camp sites with hook ups. GM
