The county HQ are in Dorchester but the largest town is Bournemouth with Poole and Weymouth other large seaside towns. Poole Harbour is where Baden-Powell held the first Boy Scout camp.

There are currently a number of car parks that are MH friendly with no height restrictions.
West Bexington - The Beach DT2 9DG car park - 78 spaces.
Lyme Regis - Charmouth Road DT7 3DR, 386 spaces.
Lyme Regis - Holmbush car park DT7 3HX, 393 spaces.
Charmouth - Lower Sea DT6 6LS, there are 3 spaces for coaches, lorries, motorhomes.
Christchurch - Bargates BH23 1QL, 93 spaces.
Christchurch - Steamer Point BH23 4TA - 165 spaces. There are four parking bays marked for high sided vehicles on the right hand side of the access road before passing under the height barrier.
Christchurch - Mayors Mead BH23 1NY - 120 spaces.
Christchurch - Leisure Centre West BH23 1HW - 146 spaces. There is a 2m height restriction to main parking area (rear of civic offices) with 10 unrestricted bays, 8 high vehicle bays and 2 disabled bays on the access road before passing under the height barrier.
Christchurch - Mudeford Quay BH23 4AB - 388 spaces.
West Bay - Station Yard DT6 4EW, 125 spaces.
Dorchester - Top O'Town DT1 1XT, 4 spaces for coaches, lorries, motorhomes.
Dorchester - Fairfield CP by the Old Brewery. Has 4 dedicated MH spaces but less than 6m long. There are no height restrictions and at present it is only £1 ph from 08.00 to 10.00. PT.
Bridport - West Street DT6 3TP, 8 spaces for coaches, lorries, motorhomes.
Sturminster Newton - Barnes Close, DT10 1BN - 3 or 4 large bays running North and South of car park. Good access. PH.
Weymouth - Park and Ride DT3 5HJ, 1000 spaces. No height restriction. 05.00 to 01.00.
Weymouth - Pavilion cp, The Esplanade DT4 8DZ - 6 or more dedicated MH spaces even for long vehicles. Near to observation tower looking out over bay and beach.Reasonable charges. PM.
Verwood - Potters Wheel, Manor Way, 106 spaces. Mon-Fri 09.00 to 17.00.
Beaminster - Yarn Barton DT8 3EQ, 62 spaces.

Tourist information state that WDDC provides MH parking in the long stay car park at Holmbush and Charmouth Road either side of town with fantastic sea views.

A very swift response to an email gave the following car parks where a motorhome can park. Kings car park, BH7 7AF and Queens Road cp BH2 6BE. Both for parking only. No overnight stays.

The Sandbanks Surface (BH13 8QJ) car park has 6 spaces for 'large vehicles'. There are 532 spaces so it is a large cp.
The Seldown (BH15 1TA) surface cp has 6 spaces for 'large vehicles'.
Harbourside on street parking - 'no motor caravans'.
Baiter Harbourside - BH 15 1UX - By the open fields and adj to public slipway. Some MH spaces.

There are now 4 dedicated Campervan spaces immediately on the right as you enter the car park which will accomodate units upto 9 metres. Alternatively, there are several larger spaces on the far side of the car park which will take upto 6 metres. The whole car park has been resurfaced. MS.

There are dedicated motorhome parking bays in the coach park area of the car park near Portland Bill ( no overnight).
Portland Castle (English heritage) allows parking for motorhomes in their car park. There are also areas on the road that have no restrictions in place around the castle area.
