EAST SUSSEX

Brighton and Hove were granted city status in 2001 but locals still regard them as separate towns.

The largest settlement is the city of Brighton and Hove, now a unitary authority. Other large towns include Eastbourne, Hastings and Bexhill-on-Sea. Lewes is the county town.

Eastbourne - Fishermens Green West car park has no height barrier. You can park motorhomes in the downland car parks during the daytime. These are Beachy Head, Butts Brow and Warren Hill. Overnight parking is not allowed.
Eastbourne - We are currently looking into the possibility of a designated parking area for motorhomes along the seafront. This is still in discussion stages. Watch this space.

Brighton

Most car parks have a height restriction but the seafront Brighton Madeira Drive, may be an answer but only out of season. I would think this fills up quickly in the high season. There are no dedicated parking spots for motor homes.

There is some parking on Roedean Road, near the Marina, apparently where the buses park.

Also the approach road to the Caravan Club site. There is also a very small cp on this road at the cafe. P & d.

Seven Sisters Park - cp at park. Buses go to Eastbourne and Brighton from outside. No 2 bike path also outside.

Hastings - Sea Road and Grosvenor Gardens is available for motor homes.
