HAMPSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

New Forest District Council - Lymington, Fordingbridge, Ringwood, Brockenhurst, Totton, Lyndhurst.

The above link takes you to the car park page of the website. You have to click a link to get to the map. Click interactive car park map/What would you like to do/Choose map layers/NFDC car parks then you can click a P to get more info. You can zoom in to the map to make it clearer. There is no size or height information. This is actually a superb map of the area even zooming in to street level.

Click here to go to a Forestry Commission map of car parks and cycle routes.

Below are some of the many car parks in the council area. Some are free but there is no information with regard to height barriers.
Lymington - Bath Road SO41 3SE - 287 spaces. P&D. Motorhome wheels must sit inside one parking space. You may overhang into the space behind at no cost. Max stay is 72 hours but you are not allowed to sleep in the vehicle. There is no height barrier. From there it is a short walk into town. PS.

Eastleigh Borough Council - Eastleigh, Chandler's Ford, Botley, Hedge End, Bishopstoke,

Clicking on a red teardrop shows a box with information. What it doesn't show you is the size of a car park or the sat nav details. It does show if the cp has a height barrier.

Fareham Borough Council - Fareham, Portchester, Stubbington, Hill Head, Titchfield, Warsash.

The above link takes you to the long stay car park page of the website. If you click on a name it takes you to a map which then goes to an aerial view of the car park. Which is very poor because you don't see all the car park, only a section and it doesn't seem as you can move it around.

'We do not permit vehicles to be slept in overnight in any of our car parks.
If your vehicle takes up more than one bay you must pay for the number of bays used.'

The above link takes you to the car park page of the website.

There are a few car parks in Aldershot, Farnborough and North Camp where you can park a motor home or vehicle with a trailer or caravan that does not fit in a single marked bay.
These are at:
Parsons Barracks car park, Aldershot
Napier Gardens car park, North Camp
Queensmead car park, Farnborough
Farnborough Leisure Centre car park, Farnborough

'You can park your vehicle across two bays, end to end, as long as they do not exceed two bay lengths, plus one metre overhang at each end (12 metres in total length). The wheels of the vehicle or the vehicle and trailer must be within the marked bays.
You will need to buy a ticket for each bay used - even if you are only partly using one bay. If  you are towing a caravan or trailer, you must also display a ticket on each vehicle, including the towed vehicle.'
